No, not GREAT amounts of the population are Christians--that's an exaggeration to begin with. No, I would never condemn Israel. The savage attacks are coming from Hezbollah in Lebanon, orchestrated by Hezbollah, and continue on by Hezbollah. Israel defends themselves and are pushing in on you to back off. Israel does not intentionally harm civilians. Hezbollah is honored when one Israeli dies. Total propaganda.

I am no fanatic or anything but I am a Christian. In my opinion, if we believe in God , regardless if it is Christianity or some other religion...we should not feel like condemning anyone but instead work towards loving others more. That isn't an easy task, especially with those who constantly try to hurt us but yet what a great feeling we get when we are able to love and forgive. Nobody is perfect and as I see it, if I concentrate more on what needs changing in me rather than what needs changing in others, I'll be happier for it.

Israel isn't doing anything that another independent nation wouldn't do when it is being harassed my it's neighbors, regardless of the religions that are within it. The only reason that they are getting so much crap about it is because they are Israel, and for some reason, it is OK to hate Jewish people! I am here to tell you that they have the right to defend themselves, and I am a Christian. I am sorry to hear about all of the innocent lives lost, however, Isreal has been dropping warnings for people to flee the areas that they are going to attack, I cannot say the same for Hezbollah.

Jesus was a Jew. and hey, there are Christians living in Israel, too.
Not a Christian...but I say, better to defend Israel, who's been warding off terrorist attacks in busses and pizza parlors for at least the last 30 years, then the hezbolllah, hamas, or any other organization that has a stated policy of trying to rid the world of another group for its religious beliefs.
Israel has allowed non combatants to evacuate. Suicide bombers didn't offer the same courtesy to the patrons of the malls, public transportations, etc that they attacked. Get off your high horse, quit reading the media hype, and read some history for a change.

Many Christians believe that there will be a future for the nation of Israel in God's plan as He brings final judgments upon the earth. This is the cause of some pro-Israeli sentiment.
Although I can't speak for all of us, I believe we call right, right and wrong, wrong. If someone does something wrong, then it's wrong, regardless of their nationality. I've seen a lot of non-Christians, Muslims in particular, see everything going on in overgeneralized, one-sided terms. People like you, for example, don't seem to point fingers against anyone who commits "savage attacks" against Israel.
Of course I disapprove of "collateral damage" during times of war, but I believe Israel is doing a better job at controlling it than the terrorists are.

Stratigics.
Other than religious beliefs for supporting only those you relate too (bias), if you were going to stage future wars, you would need a peice of land for a base camp.
People (Christians) should question their "holy books" and realize they are used to justify murder; theft (of oil) and horrific suffering without so much as a blink of the eye. Is religion worth all the hate and murder? Where are the morals? Not the excuse's to be violent - but the morals and ethics. Hate stops by choice - why let religion blind us. This is by no means all about defense - American support of Isreal is very much about future stratigics to smash an enemy. We simply play the defensive position to appear more moral than "enimies". Politcs works well that way. Then we can always play the superiority card when we partake in bloodshed. But war is just as much in our American hearts.
People are given the ability to choose to end their own hate. God is not going to stop any of us from murdering (in his name). Individuals are in control of their own actions and mentalities. They can each individulaly choose to say they will no longer contribute. Americans especialy instead of just throwing their military might around. Or is this ALL really about revenge over perceived rightousness, and not giving a damn if will kill at all - then giving religious reasons why it is ok. And leanding support is the same as pulling the trigger.
We don't need to perceive people as enimies (ours or gods) and act on that, no matter the excuse and self dishonesty of it being about "defence".

I'd like to know why too. And if you say that Jews are "Gods chosen People" aren't you forgetting how Christians believe that they are the people who have taken over the mandates of being the "chosen" because they have accepted the Christ that Jews rejected and the Muslims who honor both previous religions and their Prophets, but believe that they are the chosen because they feel that they follow the "true religion."
It is a puzzlement, as Yul Brenner would say.

Because no matter how much everyone screams and shouts. I can still see the truth and reality. Because being a catholic has never blinded me to anything. because no matter how much everyone chants the mantra, Israel.....occupier, Israel.......killer, it still doesn't obscure the fact that 100's of rockets are being fired into Israel and soldiers got killed and kidnapped by Hezbollah to start all this. Did you think they weren't going to bite! If a neighbor of mine says , "hey, let me set up a rocket launcher in your backyard" and I agree, I'm as guilty as they are. If I'm being forced into it and I'm not smart enough to move my family out of the house, then I deserve what the consequences are. If I can't move my family because I'm being forced to stay in it, then the crime isn't the bomb that fell on the house, is it? I just can't understand why Hezbollah just doesn't assemble their army, get all their tanks together, stage them, and go fight a war. Why fight like their women, faces draped and hiding in holes in the ground. Why not fight like the desert heros they say they are? Because the jackle knows his place when it faces a lion and waits to pick on the carcass after the lion has had its fill. oh, and jesus was a jew.

With war comes death. On all sides....I am not saying I like it. I don't. I am sad about the deaths of people. I wish there was an easy answer that everyone would agree to and live in peace.
BUT--Christians read in our Bibles what is going to happen before Jesus returns. And it involves Israel. And it involves the Jews and wars and earthquakes and other things like this. We cannot stop this from happening. Only God can. So, I stand with Israel because God tells me to. Simple.
(Don't Mulsims believe their allah tells them to kill all non-muslims?)
