You know what? You're always going to have these idiot people that criticize the military and pretend they know what you guys are all about. You hear these people saying that nobody made them join the Military, they done it on their own, so why feel bad for them if they are killed or hurt, or away from their families. Do these morons realize that if people don't volunteer to go in the Military, there won't be talk about a draft, THERE WILL BE A DRAFT! Instead of criticizing our Armed Forces, people should thank them! People say that the Military fighting in Iraq has nothing to do with protecting Americans and our freedom, fine if that's how they feel, but they should at least be grateful that these men and women are over there fighting this war so those who are against it aren't forced to be there like many were during Vietnam.
People want to live in the United States and be free, but they want to dictate and criticize how they get that freedom. We are stationed in Italy now and I have been to other European countries. The people are just wonderful and I adore them, and yes, they have a lot of freedom like we do in America, but honestly, you can still see a big difference in the laws and the politics over here, and it makes me realize how lucky Americans are. I see some differences that are small, then I see some that are huge and I think to myself how this would just never happen in America! Italians and Americans don't even call the police if someone breaks into their homes or cars here, because the police biggest job here is to sit on the street corners and wave their little red stick to pull people over! Their nice, but that's all they do. My point is people in the United States don't realize how well they really have it, and it's because of people before us that fought for our rights, and it's our Military now that fight to keep us free. And without them, we would fall apart.
Hi y´all who said that the Military was for people like him and
Sgt B that take orders. You are so full of it. Some of the smartest people I know have served in the Military. Some of our Nations greatest heros served in the Military! It doesn't make you weak because you take orders from someone. Most jobs in this life are going to require you to takes orders from someone else! Maybe you joined the Military thinking you would have someone always telling you what to do so you wouldn't have to think for yourself, but don't try to make it sound like that is what Military life is!

I'd just like to thank you for serving our Country. You know, many people that I know say screw the military, and all that bull. But what they don't understand is that if it weren't for the military, they probably wouldn't be able to make that statement, dress the way they do, eat what they eat, go to school, etc. This Country is free because of our past troops, and the troops today. The only way they can have any opinion of the military, is if they go there and sign up. I see the military in my future, and I'm proud of it, and if any liberal or any one has a problem with the military, they can move to another country where they will not have as many rights and see how they feel then. God Bless America!

The same people that don't get the video or have a unfounded hatred of the military are the same people that have probably never been out of the country/state/county or believe everything that they hear on the news. The American soldiers put their lives on the line everyday of their lives for the American people. They don't expect anything in return, they do it so that the American people can sleep safely at night, and have the freedoms that they take for granted everyday.
If you enjoy the freedoms given to you, thank a soldier.

Everyone should at least watch no. 2 vid where they are inside the tent taking incoming mortar. Just try to tell me you wouldn't be doing the exact same thing as the guy praying.

Loved it! Go Marines! I'm sick of the junk talking liberals that don't have the guts to defend our freedom.
And to "Snervel"....God bless you for what you have done by going to Iraq and defending us. I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I'm not sure what the difference is but the majority of men that served in WWI and WWII went on to lead somewhat normal lives.....perhaps it was because they had the American people behind them 100%. I'm appalled at the way some Americans treat our military....alot of them, as said in the video, are dope smoking, MTV loving lazy asses whose mommies and daddys are probably liberals.

When did Liberals become the bad ones?
There are 11 American soldiers, who served in Iraq, running for political office. 10 of them are running as Democrats. I'm willing to bet the military doesn't discriminate against political party, and you'll find just as much Democrts over their as Republicans. Although I doubt they have much time to think about who's who.
Thank you to all of those who have served (no matter where or when). You've all helped our country be a safer & brighter place.

as a person who has lost a cousin and 2 friends in the war in Iraq, i will always support and respect the military. but i will never support the war in iraq or the current president, the duty of the US military is to protect the country, not to attack on false pretences. dont confuse people who are against the current war with people who are against the mititary in general.

Good stuff. Liberals will say that the link, like 9-11 is a conspiracy and that the troops in the film are all paid actors...

OORAH!!! Had a debate with my history professor this morning bout it, keep your head (figuritively) up and down (literally) down brother. Hope we all get out of it safe. Spent two years there and know how you feel. Just do yourself a favor (probly your second or third if you are a sgt but) try not to take politics personally when you get back, I did and it just gave me a broken heart and a headache
