Everyone said beautiful ideas especially the one about introducing your daughter -- to your sister, that is so sweet, i got chills,

you can not go wrong, your sister, will be happy, and i guess you have a great sister, right?
OR at least you love her name,

At any rate, your daughter is starting a life with lots of love around her, and that is the best part for her, you and your family, enjoy,,

If I was naming a child after one of my family members I would keep it to myself. When the baby is born have your sister come in and say something like I would like to introduce you to ______. That way no one can ruin the surprise and you have that special moment and memory forever. It is also a good story for her to tell your daughter when she gets old enough.

Call her right now and tell her so your the first one. Or take her out for a nice dinner, maybe a place with her name in it... If you have any like that by you... and say yeah, I should name my daughter after the name of this place... Good luck on that, maybe you'll find one. BTW, what is her name?

I would wait until after the baby is born and name the baby and then when she asked what you named her, tell her then. Just keep it quite about what you are going to name the baby until after you have named her.

well what i would do is invite your sister over after you named your daughter and then talk to your daughter by name. It would be a wonderful surprise :D

Tell her that you've decided on a name for the baby but you're not quite sure on how you want to spell it. When she asks for the name..........well, just tell her. I bet she'll just grin herself to death.

BTW.....congratulations. Here's to a smooth pregnancy and delivery! ;)
