I have posted alot about laws aginst pit bulls but this topic is no longer about the banning breeds like pit bulls and roots. In Louisville Kt. is about to pass a law making pit bulls, rotts and mastiffs as dangerous dogs but also all hunting dogs. Baeles and fow teriers are included in this. They also well have the right to go in and take anyones service dog. If a dog ends up in the pound it will take speical permission to get it out. A small group of people will have the right to remove any pet with out going to court. This as PETA hand writting all over it.

PETA CAN NOT STAND PIT BULLS. THEIR BIG REASON IS THAT ONE OF THEIR ADMINISTRATORS CLAIMS TO HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY A PIT.
PETA PROTECTS ROACHES AND RATS WHO CAN SPREAD DISEASE AND CAUSE ALLERGIES. BUT WANT PIT BULLS DEAD! THERE WAS EVEN A LETTER SENT TO A MICHIGAN JUDGE THAT ASKED FOR THE EUTHANASIA OF OVER 20 PITBULLS BECAUSE THEY WERE "TAKING UP SPACE FOR ADOPTABLE ANIMALS". THIS PERSON STATED IN THE LETTER THAT ALL PIT BULLS ARE BAD ANIMALS AND NEED TO BE HUMANELY PUT DOWN FOR THEIR OWN GOOD.
PETA IS HATEFUL AND ARE PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO JUDGE. THE FUNNY THING IS THAT THE ORGANIZATION ASKED THAT PEOPLE NOT JUDGE THEM WHEN ATHOURITIES FOUND MEMBERS OF PETA TRANSPORTING OVER 30 BODIES OF DEAD ANIMALS IN ONE OF THEIR VANS!!! THEY HAD NO REAL EXCUSE FOR THIS EITHER, BUT DIDNT WANT ANYONE TO PASS JUDGMENT....
HOW THAT?
LMAO I USED TO BE A SUPPORTER OF PETA UNTIL I HEARD ABOUT THEIR VEIWS ON PITS. NOW I HAND EVERY LETTER FROM THEM TO MY PIT BULLS TO CHEW ON.

If anyone dose not think PETA is behind this:
The following are Ingrid New kirk's own words:
"People have no idea that at many animal shelters across the country, any "pit bull" who comes through the front door goes out the back door -- in a body bag...This news shocks and outrages the compassionate dog-lover. ..Here's another shocker: People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the very people who are trying to get you to denounce the killing of chickens for the table, foxes for fur, or frogs for dissection, supports the pit bull policy..."
Those who argue against the euthanasia policy for pit bull dogs are naive.
I have scars on my leg and arm from my own encounter with a pit. Many are loving and will kiss on sight, but many are unpredictable.
People who genuinely care about dogs won't be affected by a ban on pits. They can go to the shelter and save one of the countless other breeds and lovable mutts sitting on death row through no fault of their own.
We can only stop killing pits if we stop creating new ones. Legislators, please take note.
As anyone well knows this is the woman who found PETA.
PETA kills 90% of the animals they take in, give money to domestic terrorist. They do not believe in medical research using animals yet one of their VP's uses medicine that is here because of the same research. There is a link in a earlier posting to a video ge watch and see what they are really about.

No, I don't see PETA at all in this one. This isn't the sort of issue they hyperventilate about.
I live in the town next door to the village where six people were injured, one very seriously, by three loose and totally unprovoked pit bulls. That's the sort of thing that causes dangerous dog legislation like the proposal in your town.
I hope that you end up with an ordinance that addresses the behavior of the dogs (and their owners), not the breed.

Absolutely! Ingrid Newkirk, head of PeTA, hates pitbulls and thinks they should all be euthanized and has said so publicly.
Little by little they are trying to take away our right to own pets.

I think PETA steps in too many times. They need to protect animals that are truly being harmed and leave the rest alone!!!

What gets me is that PETA will show up at dog shows, open dog crates and set dogs free. Dogs have ended up getting lost and even killed.... isn't that cruel treatment???
