Politely, and no pick up lines. "Hi, my name is ______. Would you like to go for coffee sometime?" Something like that.

Just don't use the ole pickup line my boyfriend constantly uses, "Don't I know you?" Maybe they don't answer cause they know he must be old and out of pickup lines or maybe it's cause I'm usually there!
