No matter how you ask her she won't stop. She's a wife her priority is to make a home. She's not going to want you going off with the guys to play in a band.

I Think she is jealous, and she needs to grow up.
that is unkind, and not supportive,
Heck, even if your band was not good, she could be nice about it,
tell her to "GO FRY ICE"
ignore her, and if you do speak of it, let her know that you expect more respect from "a wife" not criticism,
If you have ever treated her like this in something that was important for her, she could be just showing you how it feels, if not,, well,, tell lher to keep her opinions to her self ,
she made it clear, how, she views your band, now enough

I would have to sit her down and tell her that this really means a lot to you and that it hurts your feelings that she does this. She is probably either jealous that you have a hobby outside of the household or is worried about your time spent with the band away from her.

She may think that this band is a waste of time.. I listen and you sound pretty good.. Has she heard you? Maybe she things you should be spending your time doing what she feels is better... Have you told her that it bothers you when she makes fun?

She prob is just teasing. I think the best thing you can do is to just be honest with her. Sit her down, tell her you really like your band and think that your good and it bothers you when she makes fun. Ask her to please be supportive and encouraging. Most likely she will appreciate your honesty and will stop.

Just tell her if she doesn't have anything nice to say, she should shut the F U C K up. You don't go around making fun of how fat she is or how bad her bj's are, or whatever other stupid thing she is insecure about. She'll get it.

dont get angry and lash out, but be honest with her that she is hurting youre feelings cause you are expecting her support.
p.s. the sound of music is opinionated by each person that hears it so if she does not like it so what. i bet she will give tons of support when you make it big.
