try a terrier such as maybe a "rat" taerrier...lol =D they were originally bred for that type or work.....and dont listen to these holier-than-thou jers saying "please dont buy a dog for that reason" while true dogs are our friends they are also our partners in many work ethics, ratting, herding, guard dogs, etc etc...just be sure tha tyour dogg is properly vacinated to preven catching disease from their kills......dogs are our friends & our partners & most breeds bred for a task asr happier when they are being used to do so.........after all that is what they were bred for no?? GOOD LUCK & remember you can always get a cat or 2 if you chose not to opt for that type of dog!!

Terriers were originally used to chase small rodents (rats, mice, etc.) out of mines. Though they are now seen as cute pets, It's part of their natural instinct to chase small animals. I have a Yorkie that has chased squirrels all her life - she just recently killed one. My friend lives out in the woods, and her Westie is consantly bringing dead mice and little rodents like that to their back door. If you want a faithful companion who will also "earn" their keep - you should think about getting a Terrier.

hope that helped, good luck!

Terriers are breed for this variety of component. Min pins are vermin/rodent hunters besides and do an impressive pastime of catching mice and different rodents. i ought to say rat terrier, manchester terrier, or minpin are your astounding wager. The rat terrier receives a touch larger than a minpin or manchester.

If your having a mice problem, get a ferret. They are bred to go after mice and rats, and were used for that going back to the Egyptian Pyramid era. They use ferrets in England to go after mice , rats and rabbits.

You should get a jack russle or a feist....they'll catch the mice b/c they are hunting dogs, mainly used for squirrel and rabbit. They'll also eat them most of the time, so no mess!

You're buying a dog for the wrong reasons.

Buy a mousetrap. They are much less expensive, don't require vet visits, you don't have to feed them, and you don't have to board them when you go away on vacation!!!
