Breast milk is better for an infant. Not only does it provide antibodies for the infant, but it also easily digested, requires no mixing & no bottles, portable, free, and provides bonding for mom and baby. After delivery, breast feeding will help the uterus shrink down to normal size and help during the next few months afterwards in mom shrinking back down to normal size too.
Breast fed babies spit up a lot less, have less gas and colic problems, and less ear infections too. There are so many benefits to breastfeeding that if you are able and willing, breast feed.
Breast is best hands down.

Breast milk by far is the most nuteitious thing for babys to drink.
Breast Milk also has naturl anti bodies that help a baby fight infections. Breast fed babys are in general more healthy. No allergies. Some even say breast fed babys are brighter intellectually.. You gotta believe that mother nature aka (the creater) has be best plan on the planet for a baby's nutrition. Otherwise why would women produce milk after giving birth to a baby?
No formula can beat breast milk.

Every study has proven breast milk to the be the best for the mother and the baby. My daughter has breast fed all 3 of my grandchildren until they were a year old. All have been very healthy, not even snotty noses until the oldest went to school. Even then they recovered quicker than most kids.

Breast feeding is definately the best. It give the immune system the nutrients that no other source can give. If you cannot breast feed, the formulas that are now available are pretty darn good. I breast fed, and supplemented Carnation Good Start. My kids were so hungry that I fed them, and then gave 2 oz- 4oz of formula. Go to the La Leche League site. They have great info, and support groups.

Breast milk is almost always the best. It's the right temperature. You don't have to get up at night and heat a bottle. It will help you to lose the baby weight, too. ( I read one study that supported the belief that breast fed babies have higher IQ's than formula fed babies.) It is also a great way for you to bond with your baby.
It also gives your baby immunity to the things you're immune to.
Good Luck and remember Breast is Best!

There is no formula on the market that is as good as Mother's milk
Breast feeding your baby helps to build up their immune system against allergies among other things
Formula may be convenient, but breast milk is by far best for your baby
By the way, breastfeeding will help you to regain your shape faster

There are down sides to both.. breast milk is supposed to be better because it supposedly helps brain function and baby development..but my brother was breast fed and breast milk is what caused all his baby teeth to rot..
I say it doesn't matter.. he was breast fed, I was not.. We both were straight A students, both completely normal.. Actually I was more advanced than he was.. but that was due to having an older sibling to copy. We were both reading way before kindergarten, we both managed to conquer every challenge given to us.. I'm the one who didn't go to community college, but instead got excepted into the University of Michigan and was given a scholarship to Ferris.. so I say all the studies are wrong..
Anyway.. if a mom can't breast feed, that's like saying she's going to have a stupid child.

Breast milk has the most nutrients. It is what has been designed to feed babies.
Formula is designed to "replace" breast milk. Though at this time, it is still being developed and refined to be more like breast milk.
And formula tastes like butt. Breast milk does not, so I would say... Breast milk is best.
It's sort of like Cow's milk versus Almond, Rice or Soy milk... It's lacking alot of things. Not necessarily bad, but not the best, you know.

Breast is better for the baby, for you and it's so much easier than fooling with formula. There will be discomfort for the first couple of weeks but after that you'll be glad you decided to breast feed.

Breast is best. Formula contains proteins that are difficult for babies to digest causing gas, bloating, constipation, and colic. (these are proteins that are meant for baby cows!) Your breast has everything baby needs. That's why women have breasts in the first place, to feed our babies. Trust your body will make exactly what your baby needs as long as you eat a well balanced diet. Baby gets it's nutrients from you, just like when baby was still in your tummy. If you eat healthy, baby eats healthy.
