A man I met on the net is saying he's in love with me & that he is planning to marry me. He sounds obsessive & has made me promise only to talk to him. He is dead serious about the wedding &says he can't wait to marry me. He says he thinks about no-one else but me& cries whenever we stop talking on-line. I have blocked him as of today, regardless of whether he got hurt. I got scared & alarm bells sounded off. They have also been there but now I see a little more clearly. I just wanted to be friends&take it slow to see what would happen. He says I have to move more quickly. He is a lot older than me. He is in his 40s. I am in my 20s. I thought he sounded desperate& should have more sense. He says he can't wait till our wedding &till he meets me. I have never even seen his picture. He also talks sexy talk to me, thinking it turns me on. When I said I was offended he said I had broken his heart. He said he can't stop imagining me naked and masterbates himself to sleep thinking of me.

Good Lord, shut it down immediately.
Hopefully, he doesn't know your real address. You have someone who is frightening on your hands.
Send him an e-mail that says it is 100% over, and he must not contact you at all.
At the first hint of a threat, call the police and get a restraining order. You may have someone simply lonely, or you may have someone dangerous. You have to assume dangerous until proven otherwise.
he's a pervert, and sad. The internet draws them out, you fell prey.
Don't give him the benefit of the doubt--change whatever you ahve to change--phone, e-mail, address--protect yourself!

textual relationships say less and more about a person than a face to face in so many ways....
in a text based relationship you miss all the visual cues and facial expressions..... however you do get to really see what a person is saying...
Any man in his 40s who is even thinking marriage after only two weeks is a man to be very wary of....
go with your gut...

He's definately an internet predator... You should at least contact the police because a similar thing happened to my friend except we're in highschool and the guy was supposedly 21 but he was actually an internet predator/ child molester who got caught by the police. REPORT HIM!
