Which is a better refrigerant to use especially for aircraft airconditionig, R134a or R407c? and why?

On an aircraft, you can not switch the refrigerant unless it is approved - not only by the manufacturer, but by the FAA, DOT, JAR, etc by STC or otherwise. So you can only use what the approved maintenance manual specifies. On top of that the "Better" refrigerant is always the one specified by the manufacturer as the system will be designed for a specific refrigerant - they are not interchangeable if you hope to keep some efficiency in the system.
