This helped me, I turned on MTV and danced in my living room. I would watch the dancers and try to imitate the moves. (alone of course, LOL) I would do it until I would begin to sweat and increase the time each day. It was really fun!

The best thing would be the following:
1. A "social contract"--exercise with a buddy who likes to do the same thing. Make plans to exercise together.
2. Do something you think you might learn to like--bike riding is easy on the joints and you get to see the scenery. Walking every day rain or shine. Get a dog and walk the dog. Go to the gym once a week and lift weights and use the treadmill for variation.
3. Hire a personal trainer if you have $$$.

What about dancing. If you like, belly dancing, clogging or jazz are great ways to lose weight. If you don't like that, what about horseback riding. Swimming is great. Or Ice skating. I hate exercising too, but swimming is fun for me, even though I can swim far, I get winded so I know it is working. Jump roping for 5 minutes a day even slowly, is awesome for you. But start out at a minute, because it will make you sore in your calves.

Just any physical activity. When you are at home don't sit at the TV or computer. Turn on music and dance around like a goof for 1/2 an hour first. Vaccuuming is good. Walk a dog for a friend at night.

Try Kayaking, it is difficult, but great fun. And you can feel proud when you do a good job. Or try weight-lifting. It is cool

Try being on top. Sight seeing can be kind of exciting depending on what your looking at or for. That means walking. I like to walk on the beach in the morning or afternoon and look for interesting rocks or fossils and I don't mean old people either. Try photography while you're at it too. As for exciting you might get a metal detector for the beach or park it's exercise and could be exciting when you find something of value.

I am the same way--I hate exercising. I bought belly dancing instructional videos and they are pretty motivating. It's dancing, but its great cardio. I also have the workout ball, and those are fun too. Other than that, maybe hiking or biking would be fun for you. You can change up the routes to keep things different.

The best activity I know of that could be a motivator is to go to a Hospice house and meet people who would give their life savings for an opportunity to work out. You can always read my profile, too. I'm early 40's

You should try joining work out club 'cause they have classes that motivate you to work out. It might be hard at first because your body is not use to it, also if you see other people are working out , you might get into the conversation and not think about at all. Aerobic exercise are really fun and it give you a whole body work-out.. Start out slow and then increase.....Have fun!!!!
