A persuasive essay needs to have at least these things:
1) a clearly expressed position (what the reader should believe);
2) a logical, orderly, and complete explanation of the support for that position (why the reader should believe that);
and
3) a response to counterarguments (why the reader shouldn't believe alternative positions).

A persuasive essay needs an argument (thesis) where you discuss your opinions (topics or thesis points) and then you elaborate on these arguments in your body paragraphs. Specifically,

Introduction - Introduce your side, state your thesis with supporting arguments in short form.

Body paragraphs - each seperate point (usually three or more) gets it's own paragraph where you argue using specific examples (from real life, books, articles, etc) in order to persuade the reader to your opinion.

Conclusion - restate your thesis and wrap everything up!

Hope that helps.

certainly, it must have devices of persuation like bias, counterargument, facts, examples, rhetorical questions and so on which help in persuading the reader to believe in the topic from your point of view..
