No, we keep it in the pantry. The reason why people put bread in the refrigerator is to not get fungus easiliy on the bread. Fungus only grows on bread when you keep it in sunlight. Or out in the open. I think.... That's what I've heard from a LOT of people. Have a good day!!!!

Only if I buy good bread from a fresh bakery. If I buy standard supermarket commercial bread it has so much preservatives in it that it could last a really long time just on the counter. Before that time it is probably eaten anyway. I have enough junk in my fridge without cluttering it with bread.

Yes. I do. During the hot summer months I always refrigerate my bread, because in the heat it will mold faster due to the yeast in the bread. During the winter I am not so anal about it though. Although I prefer cold bread compared to room temperature bread. Silly, I know. But that is just me I guess, lol.

Yes, it's a habit I picked up from the folks. They did it because they lived in a hot humid area and it would mold in a couple days if you weren't careful. (This was in the days before Wonder 'plastic' bread.) I do it because peanut butter doesn't shred chilled bread as much, and because it keeps the cats out of the bread.

No. I haven't had any problems with the bread going stale or molding. With 3 kids and a husband bread doesn't stay long on the shelf.

Normally NO - it's better to FREEZE it and take out the slices you need if you're not using it quickly. Bread left in the fridge for longer periods tends to dry out and acquire an "off" taste.

However, during particularly humid weather when bread left on the counter will go moldy awfully quickly and freezing is impractical, I will refrigerate it if I know it will be used quickly.

NO, I keep mine on the counter. But I do recommend Master Bread it keeps its freshness a lot longer. I buy a lot of bread and I keep it in the freezer until I am ready for a new loaf. When we take out the bread and it is thawed it is very soft ( stick to your roof soft) tad bit of info for you

My grandma freezes her bread when she gets too much. It's fine once it's thawed.

My aunt, on the other hand, refrigerates EVERYTHING, from her bread to ground coffee (a big no-no) and even her flour! She freezes her milk, and then complains that it doesn't taste good after it's thawed.

We don't eat things that she makes and gives to us.

We did for some time, but we went back to leaving it in the pantry. I guess it all depends, as long as where you store it is not a very humid place it should be fine. Anyways, bread usually runs out really quickly.
