its a ghost!! no just kidding just try leaving it for a while and then try to turn it on again and if it happens again the you should call the company and have them come and look at it cause there is usually a 5 year warranty on them. this happened to me also.

most likely the light bulb burned out, if it's an LCD TV

try the plug or brader box or fuse box if u run a whole bunch of stuff at a time it might kick/blow a braker/fuse

either you've got a short in your power supply or the screen is shot.
