That's because the Bible is full of stories. The truth is we came from monkeys. I know there is, has been, and will always be endless debate about this, but many believe that the stories in the Bible were not meant to be taken literally for the very reason you pointed out. There would have been a lot of incest at the top of our family tree. Doesn't seem biologically feasible, does it?
Some think it's a better idea to take the stories in the Bible as a moral guide and to use them to live a productive, meaningful, happy life. And leave questions regarding our origin to the scientists who will tell you that, without question, our ACTUAL ancestors were swinging in trees long before Adam and Eve took a stroll in the garden...

I find it interesting that people say "the Bible is just stories written by man". What do you all think the theory of evolution is??? A story written by Darwin. How can it be any more credible than the Bible then? Creationists believe that man was created by God in his image. Initially (after the creation of man) it is assumed that in order to procreate humans did intermarry and have children with eachother. Remember Adam and Eve had more children than just Cain and Abel. So brother and sister reproduces, then cousins reproduced, and so and and so forth to increase the population of the world. Incest was not socially unacceptable at that time in history. But the bottom line is that humans were created, then populated the earth initially through inter-family relationships.

First... heat, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, and some other gasses combining and making a single cell organism ( it has been proven to be able to happen).... second the single cell organism split ( like they still do to this day) and created a Monticello organism... then the multi went and kept splitting and growing while moving all around the globe,... then they migrated to land ( once land was formed) as bacteria and it went on like this for millions and millions of years, and here we are, the reason we have so many species is because all the mulit-celluar migrates to different climates and interacted differently and consumed different types of food..... but who is to say the "god" did not assist with what gasses came together to form us? ... possibilities are endless as long as you have an open mind about "god".... I could go on forever about this subject but my shift is over in a couple minutes, but i have studies every main religion and discuss religion with a man that has higher than a masters in religion ( and yes, it is a college course) and he believes this has happened too, ( with the gasses and cells)....talk to you later, hope i helped

An alien race far more advanced than humans bred us in little tubes and brought us to this planet that we have named earth and spread rumors before they left, Which started religion, and in turn are watching us destroy the planet we were put on while laughing.
