For a common beer I like Corona light.
I once brewed a batch I called Leoneds Light Ail, after the meteor shower which was happening on the night I bottled.
If I could find the recipe I would post it.
I like Gunnies also, but generally brew lighter Ails, looking for the other half of a perfect two-tone glass.

It sounds a bit pretentious and overly american, but I really like Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale. The flavour is just heavenly for a pale lager and it has enough booze in it to do the job without having to down 12 of them.
p.s. A close second is Fax Lager made in Kolding, Denmark.
