he just genuinely seems to care for me as more than a friend. some things he says are come-ons but he is just so sweet. i don't really know if i like him. but i also don't know how to find out if he likes me.

most of the time women's intuitions are correct.having a friend as a lover really is something complicated unless either feels "off" having a relationship with your former best friend; someone who you are comfortable with and someone you know would be one of the first people who would care for you............a true relationship should start with a good foundation...............however not at all instances.....that a friendhip blooming to love succeeds...there are many factors as to that... do not be discouraged because your situation maybe the same to others but the people who are involved are different and people are very unpredictable....
what i would advice is that you continue being friends.....discover more of each other..it is only through continuing what you have could allow you to go deeper and discern if he really likes you also with it you would have plenty of time to think what you really feel about him...cherish the friendship while it lasts....dont rush things...............if it will be.......no matter what happen................it will be................: )

Well JP, if you are a shy person , I would get someone else to go and ask your friend about it. If you are an outspoken person and you think you like him, I think you should just go up and ask him about because maybe he feels the same way about you. But I think that before you ask him, you should make sure that you like him because if you just like him because you feel sorry for him, think about how that is going to make him feel if he finds out. Just dont lead him on. Be honest with your feelings.

Totally been there whatever you do don't act different around him! if you find out you end up wanting to be more then friends talk about or ask one of his friends (if you can trust the friend) otherwise play it out if its meant to be it will happen

If you don't know whether you like him, take it very very slowly. If you don't know that, does it really matter whether he likes you or not? Girls, especially when young, can do silly things in their need to be liked and wanted. When you can stand on your own feet, and like yourself "well enough" you're ready for a relationship - but not before.

You just said he is your best friend so how is it your not sure wether or not you like him, if he really likes you he will eventually show his true feelings, but if you don't care for him back then don't lead him on.

Considering your not sure if you like him, maybe it's best you dont 'try to find out' if he likes you.. that would change your friendship, and it doesnt sound like thats what you want
