why do guys stop talking to you when you mention the word church!!!!!!!!?

Are you talking church with respect to marriage or just talking about wanting to go to church with them? I run away from girls that want to go to church because they are usually judgmental and closed-minded. Virtually everything about religion is based upon judging someone as good or bad, worthy or a sinner. Also, there are very few religions that have adapted with the times to take into account solid scientific evidence. Point this out to a religious zealot and they get defensive and irrational. If their religion is all that and they have such good faith, then why in the heck do they get all emotional and care what I think. They should simply feel pity for me and all the other sinners out there, instead they want to point fingers and argue without anything to base their argument on. It gets old really fast, so we have learned to simply avoid these freaks at all costs.

Um ok.... I dont believe in god. That doesn't mean I dont like women that do! This is the odd thing... while I dont believe.... I do value other people's beliefs. I know that when I have kids... eventually an army of them(?)... I would hope that they would be able to choose what they believe...whether its my belief...my wife's (future unknown wife...let me know if you see her)... or whether it's something they figure out on their own.

The reason I might run from someone mentioning church is this...
WHY ARE YOU MENTIONING IT? If you tell me about your belief...then cool. No worries. On the other hand...if you tell me that the reason you chose to buy 18 eggs instead of 12 eggs is because you saw jesus' image on a piece of bacon...and now you dont think jesus wants you to eat bacon.... then...I'm going to go find a stake and drive it through your heart....then I'll run as fast as possible (I hope the stake slows you down enough for me to make my escape).

There are reasonable situations in which to bring up God, and your beliefs.... and there are MANY MORE unacceptable situations in which you shouldn't bring it up. God and your church are not casual subjects you should be throwing around. They are for those that enjoy that type of conversation.

But seriously, no one likes a girl who is fervently religious because she comes across as unstable, irrational.

The guy's probably thinking, "Wow, if she'd believe THAT, what ELSE might she do that's unpredictable?"

You can have high moral standards without being religious, so it isn't always only the 'bad' boys who don't like church girls.

Most of us males are freethinkers and the minute you say church there is an automatic switch that goes off.And it is involuntary.It is just natural.Then we start thinking a lot of other things.Like is this chick a jesus fanatic?What does she really want from me?is she going to try and make me a christian?And the best one.What the f*ck?We don't want a hoe.Well, some of us do and some don't.What we really want is you.The same way you want us.We want to relate to you and not have you try and change us.But we are very reasonable.This is the truth for most.But not all.

It could be because they immediately sense you're the religious type while they in fact are not. That could potentially spell the end of your relationship because you both may not be with other desires. I don't think guys or anyone liking h***, maybe they're just not the religious type. I'm a guy and if you mentioned church I'd get quiet because I don't know much about it. Very awkward situation.

Not all guys run at the mention of church . I go every Sunday I imginae if you are going there must be some really great guys that are single at your church also if not do a little church hoping because there are great guys out there.

Many mistrust the real devotion of anyone who believes in sky-gods. Many unconsciously suspect that a girl focussed on the theatre of a church marriage might actually have that as a higher priority than a real relationship. To be honest most guys are looking for sex "its natural"and when you say church or mention somthing about it....the panic thinking that you or whoever would do anything with them cause you or whoever might be a big religion kinda person...Now...if they are looking for more then sex...then they shouldnt...panic...they should give you or whoever that chance...or maybe it cause they dont believe what you belive in or just dont want to believe...

First of all most people dont like people that they are dating if they think they are Jesusy. They think u will follow every rule in the book. THat just turns us men off. they want someone who is fun to hang around with and will join them in almost everything. And just because they dont date u because they think u are jesusy doesn't make them not Christian.
