It's because he was such a nice guy.
(Exodus 32:27-29) and Moses told them, "Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Put your sword on your hip, everyone of you! Now go up and down the camp, from gate to gate, and slay your kinsmen, your friends and neighbors!" The Levites carried out the command of Moses, and that day there fell about three thousand of the people. Then Moses said, "Today you have dedicated to the Lord, for you were against your own sons and kinsmen, to bring a blessing upon yourselves this day."
Moses killed 3,000 people at the behest of God. Shouldn't we all be just like him?

Moses peace be upon him was one of God's greatest Prophets
he was the only messenger of God that got to talk to him & hear God's real voice
also he was great because he had put up with the all the wrong things his people did to him & to God

I'm Muslim, and it's basically the same story as u guys. He was a prophet, his brother was also a prophet, He floated down a river when he was born, he threw down a staff and it became a snake, he talked 2 god, and his ppl started worshipping a golden calf when he got the commandments. that's just a little of his story.

Bcuz he was a prophet of Allah (God in english) and was kind and had an intension to change the world for good.. he defeated feraun (dont know what u call him in english) n lead ignorant ppl to the right path... thats y..

He managed to get hundreds of thousands of people across a vast desert, people used to slavery. He set up what has become the accepted standard of laws for the Jewish people as well as Christians. He was a model for management of unruly disbelieving people.
He did all that, and he was a murderer, and he stuttered. All that against him, but he did it anyway.

He was a great prophet because he delivered the law.
He is called the "the law giver".
