I don't think so. Sure we are more independent, but I've never met another woman who doesn't like to be treated like a lady.

I think alot of men are intimidated by independent women. Most men want to be "needed" and they don't understand that being "wanted" by someone who DOESN'T "need" you..is a MUCH bigger compliment.
Used to be women HAD to marry or spend their lives with their parents...you couldn't support yourself, and you were looked down on for not marrying. It's different now, and women come to a marriage with more to offer...and may be less tolerant, because they don't HAVE to be.
So, I'd say it's harder...men haven't adjusted to the shift in women, and women haven't learned that they can be independent without being *itchy. (That is a general statement, and not intended as a slur on all men...or all women).

No, I don't think it is more difficult. I believe that it not only is it a much better thing to have independant women but it is a better then when we have independant men too.

no because the media has put it into our heads that if we don't have a man we're not pretty or good enough to be called a real woman. basicaly the world has ruined us whether we want to admit it or not. Most women feel like they need a man, but some women do realize they don't. the thing is it's easier to find a woman that thinks she needs a man than to find one that knows she doesn't.

Why? Independence shouldn't matter in the dating game. Relationships that evolve into something more serious should be partnerships where partners share and one person isn't totally dependent on the other. Who are you? Cotton Mather?

I don't imagine it would be more difficult to start a relationship, however it might be more confusing for men during the relationship, trying to work out what the woman really wants.

Not really. There are also quite a no. of women who are looking for genuine relationship just like me and my friends. Instead I feel that nowadays men are more pessimistic. They have a higher pride to accept a woman who is better than them. And also more men prefer to have more freedom. They do not want to settle down, they just want to play, play.

No. but women are more educated and make more money and men are probably a bit intimidated by that but some women still think they need a man to be happy.

not really, cuz even though we're more independant... we still crave that attention from the opposite sex. no matter how much a woman is like, "i dont need anyone." it'll change or in the back of their minds they at least want some play.
