Big J,
If that isn't what God is, I don't know what is. God didn't start out on Earth.
If you look up the definition of extraterrestrial, God fits the bill.

Check it:

So the answer is yes.

Why do Christians have so much trouble with this?

I'm not sayiung that you are a Christian, but I did notice that some were immediately answering no.

Christianity is where you are supposed to think, contrary to what some have been told, especially the Roman Catholics. It is not derogatory to call God an extraterrestrial. Because by definition, that's what He is!

Indeed God IS an extraterrestrial! He is certainly not of this world. But then again, neither is He the kind of alien we read about that flies about in spaceships and abduct people to do tests. God is a totally "alien" being who is Spirit, who dwells in the eternal realms. He has left us messages through selected people which were later collated into the Bible. Best of all, He VISITED us by being one of us 2,000 years ago, walked the earth and taught the most wonderful truths ever known. He died at the hands of humans but was not captive to death. He rose again on the third day and went back home 40 days later. His "seed" is in the millions of followers who believed in what He taught, many of whom died for these beliefs. And He's coming back again!

I don't think "God" is and extraterrestrial but I have often wondered if Jesus was. He's born then you don't hear about him till he is 30 years old. Then he's killed in a horrible way but manages to "rise from the dead" three days later. After saying hi to a couple of old friends, he "ascends" into "heaven". If anybody is an extraterrestrial, he is!

It's a possibility, of course, but if you're talking about the beginnings of life on Earth, you have to ask where the extraterrestrials came from.

To be honest he is from outside this world thus extraterrestrial. And in the form of man came to vist and do much more than merely visit but to save many who accept his salvation.

I try to keep my crazy ideas quiet but I guess noone knows me online. To answer your question.......in a way, yes. I think that God would be extraterrestrial "like". It says we are created in his image so I would say we are similar. But they say he knows all. So I would assume that he communicates through telepathy or nonverbally. I think that aliens were just around longer than us and since God is supposed to have been here before all, he would resemble an alien. It sounds warped but I think it makes sense. Now here's my wanton theory on autism. I am hoping that autism is just human evolution. After all, it is a verbal communication problem. God it must be late at night. LOL! Am I making any sense?

I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise
We climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies!

Yes. Aliens with technology millenia ahead of us make a pretty good "God."

a Conversation:
1. "Hey, I'm bored. Wanna do something?"
2. "Ive got an idea. Let's find a planet with a civiization of people that's just getting off its feet and pretend to be god."
1. "Yeah. You can be the god, and I can be your prophet and stuff. We'll have so much fun."
2. "I've heard intelligent life is developing on the planet Terra in the Sol solar system in the Milky Way galaxy."
1. "Sweet. I'll get my new saucer with that amazing hologram projector and quantum computer."

That's something I thought about too.

Why else would the mantra "Jesus dies so your sins can be forgiven" come about.

If god was a real god he would have complete control of the universe. Getting our soulds to heaven after death would be easy as snapping your fingers.

If "god" is just an alien froma higher dimension with scientific intelligence (on a much higher level than us of course) then I could see some experiement to send an alien to earth, attach some sensors or something, kill the guy then determine how to bring him back after his death.

So Jesus is more likely an alien than a god.

good question

Have you ever seen the movie 'The 13th Floor?' That is what I think it is like. Like if someone created a computer program and knew everything that the characters would ever do and then was able to 'upload' themself into the program and have an affect ( good or bad) upon the computer generated people. Much like Jesus did. If you haven't seen this movie, go and rent it!!! It forever changed the way I think! About us, about God, about why we are here etc etc.....

The bible says...John 4:24.God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

He is not like a man ....He is like the wind ..you can't see...He is not defined...because there is nothing to limit him...there are no e.t's because the earth was the only planet made for inhabitation...Isaiah 45 : 18. For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

So how could et.create anything...Only God can create...and this planet was the only one livable...God bless
