When having a party, a great idea is to have a signiture cocktail. While leaving the option of other drinks open, ask the bartender to come up with a drink to fit the reason for the party. Many bartenders have drinks they have created. If your bartender is unable to help, use a search engine with key words. For example, if it's a Toga party, type in "Roman" drinks or "Goddess" drinks. Find a drink that sounds like one YOU would enjoy, and fits the party, and make sure you have one in your hand all night!

Kegs of Sangria and/or Margaritas and/or Beer would be easiest -wouldn't even need the bartender. Alternatively, a decent Vodka, Tequila, tasty Whiskey, and a dark Rum would be my choices - with beer of course. Bloody Mary Mix, Tonic Water and/or Juices, Margarita Mix, Sprite/7up, and Coke. Good luck.

It kind of depends on the age of the people at the party I think, but at my parties (guests ages 19-30) we usually have cosmos, vanilla martinis, chocolatinis, gin&tonics, vodka tonics, caipirinhas, and a host of tequila -based drinks such as margaritas, tequila sunrises, rude cosmopolitans, mentas, bloody marias, royals, silk stockings, jose collins, el burros, el diablos, scambles, floritas & lavenderitas (the prettiest of the bunch!), vanillaritas, cancun coolers, phi phi delights, rosa marias, melonritas, uva y miels, sombreros, la cucarachas, palomas, playboys, raspberry&pineapple smashes, caramelos, chocologys, coco locos, neapolitans, angelitas, & bermejo blazers, which take a little while to make, but are FANTASTIC!

I hope there's something in there that sounds good to you!!!

Get the standard alchohol and some basic mixers. Gin, Vodka, Tequila, Whiskey and Orange Juice, Ginger Ale, Tonic Water, Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke.

That should do it.

If you're looking for a batch-type drink, there's nothing better than the Red Death. They're tasty, easy to make, and can kick heck out of you. Here's my favorite:

Gin slushees or whatever liquor you like...and load up vodka for martinis and whiskey. Don't forget the beer and mixed frozen juices for the non drinkers. Can't forget the chardonney
