If he found you cute, was single, and knew you were single as well, I imagine he would've asked you out. Otherwise, he finds you cute, but probably is just playing games with you. In this case, don't walk, but run! Just my two cents.

Sounds like he wanted something from you , you provided it so there was no longer a reason to flirt. Now I'm not necessarily implying sex, but ask yourself if you gave him something (like lecture notes, test hints, money, reference for a job, free food from your work, information, access to meet one of your girlfriends, etc)

i think he did and then he just is over u for may be no reason at all.
it happens with me all the time, sometimes i just like a guy so much then after i am just so over with them. me and my best friend was like that. he is gorgeous and i flirted with him and then i got over him - i still don't know why. now we are best friends...
