if you have your hair up all day make sure you are using a scrunchie with out a metal clasp on it. don't pull it too tight, this may cause breakage. wearing your hair down will not cause any damage. using the correct products for your hair is the key to all hair success!!!!!!

Up all day is definately better, but only if you do it right. I has to be an actualy bun, with the ends protected, and no elastics. I can't be done too tightly , and you should use something hair-friendly like hairsticks or amish hairpins. Leaving hair down all the time is unbelievably bad for it. Braids are good too, I wear my hair in a single braid most of the time to protect it.

If your question is pertaining to African American hair it is best to keep the ends tucked in to prevent split ends. It is also good to have a style that doesn't require a lot of manipulation.

Down works best for me... especially since its length is to the top of my ears, a standard gentlman's hair style which sets me back $11.00 once or twice a month.

it is healthy for you to have your hair wrapped (depends on the style and length of your hair), especially if you r a women of color.
