Many Christians will tell you in answer to this that she was a sibling - a daughter of Adam and Eve. This is because they interepret literally the Genesis account of the creation of mankind and do not realize that the account of Adam and Eve is the account of a specific lineage that ultimately concerns our salvation, since it is the lineage of Jesus Christ. However the Bible never says that there were no other people created. It is quite possible and likely that there were other humans on earth - created by God - but that they were distinct from Adam and Eve in that they did not have "the Spirit of God" (the Holy Spirit) dwelling in them. In other words, they were people who were not yet enlightened by the Holy Spirit in the knowledge and understanding and worship of God. This is why Adam and Eve were in Paradise, whereas the other humans were outside of Paradise. When Adam and Eve rejected God, they also fell out of Paradise. The children they had were born outside of Paradise, and were able to find wives among the "sons of men" (i.e. those who did not know God, as opposed to the lineage of Adam and Eve, who are called "sons of God").
This is an interpretation - but since this question does not involve a dogmatic issue of the Christian faith, it is open to personal interpretation.
I hope this helps!

Often, apparent inconsistencies can be resolved if we just look at the context. Consider, for example, the often-raised problem about Cain’s wife. As is well known, Cain killed Abel; but after that, we read that Cain had a wife and children. (Genesis 4:17) If Adam and Eve had only two sons, where did Cain find his wife?
Where did Cain get his wife? Is there a logical Bible answer?
Yes, there is. It is pointed to in the very instructions given to Adam and Eve shortly after their creation, namely: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it.”—Gen. 1:28.
Obedience to this command would require that Adam and Eve have children. Then these children, in turn, would marry and bear children. This process of reproduction by succeeding generations would need to continue in order to fill the earth in harmony with God’s purpose.
The solution lies in the fact that Adam and Eve had more than two children. According to the context, they had a large family. At Genesis 5:3 we read that Adam became father to another son named Seth and then, in the following verse, we read: “He became father to sons and daughters.” (Genesis 5:4) So Cain could have married one of his sisters or even one of his nieces.
At that early stage of human history, when mankind was so close to perfection, such a marriage evidently did not pose the risks for the children of the union that it would today.
It is probable that, while yet alive, Abel had sisters; the record mentions the birth of daughters to his parents, but their names are not recorded. (Ge 5:1-4)
Cain went into banishment in “the land of Fugitiveness to the east of Eden,” taking with him his wife, an anonymous daughter of Adam and Eve. (Ge 4:16, 17; compare 5:4, also the much later example of Abraham’s marriage to his half sister Sarah, Ge 20:12.)

Adams first spouse Lilith she left to a distinctive land (Nod). Then Lilith substitute into bride of Samael there. Cain went to stay with them. some say he married the daughter of Lilith and Samael, on an identical time as others say he married certainly one of his sisters. Genesis 4:15 And the LORD mentioned unto him, as a result whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance would be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any looking him could kill him. observe that God set a mark on Cain, that mark is extremely considerable, that's the commencing up of the mark of the beast. it is likewise a non secular mark. Cain's offspring interior the Bible are called Kenites. John 8:40 two-40 seven Jesus is speaking to a pair Kenites. Kenites declare to be Jews yet they do no longer look to be Revelation 2:8-11 Revelation 3:7-13 Apples have no longer something what so ever to do with what handed off interior the backyard of Eden. What Eve did substitute into have intercourse with devil. Cain and Abel are fraternal twins, meaning they got here from 2 separate bags of water. they had separate conceptions. it extremely is a hazard for fraternal twins to have distinctive fathers, in basic terms like Cain and Abel did. In Genesis 5 we've the generations of Adam all the thank you to Noah and his sons. Cain and Abel are actually not mentioned as a toddler of Adam.

We must have covered this 25 times in 3 months.
No it does not say that!!! Cain went to Nod and lay with his wife. If you have a translation that says Cane went to Nod and "took" a wife, indicating that he got her in Nod-I want to see it. Cain carried his wife with him. He married one of his sisters. They were the only people on earth. Adam lived 930 years. He and Eve were created as adults. The Bible says they had many other sons and daughters.

here goes:
Gen1 describes the creation of man all the races on the 6th day
(remember god has said a 1000 years is like unto 1 day and 1 day 1000 years)
Gen2 on the 7th day he rested (1000 years) after the 7th day he creates THE Adam on the 8th day (about 2000 years latter)
The text
Gen 1
27 And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. - see the THEM more than 1 assume more than 1 set
31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Done on the 6th day
Gen 2
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God had created and made.
The 7th day is now over
7 And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
If this on the 8th day is to be the first man what the hell happened to them created on the 6th day???? Come on use some wisdom this is THE Adam not an Adam of the 6th.
now that you can see the races created on the 6th day, and THE Adam on the 8th day (2000 years latter at least) the wife of cain came from one of these races.
Please don't ask me which race!!!!

Actually, the answer is quite easy, in Genesis 5:4, "the table of generations", it reads that Adam and Eve had many sons and daughters. Well, Cain married one of his sisters; now before someone says that is incest, remember the time. All the children that existed came from Adam and Eve, since they were the first couple, they had ALL the genes of the human gene pool, so the genetic code was sufficiently spread throughout the offspring, to prevent problems such as hemophilia(can't stop bleeding) and other defects. So he married a sister.

Being Adam and Eve began the population of the world, she more then likely was a daughter of Adam and Eve's. She would not have been from the same generation as Cain but would have been many generations later. Adam and Eve had many children, Adam lived to be 930 years old. No it is not incest. The blood lines were pure at that moment in time.

Apparently, the wife was a close relative of Cain's, most likely a sister. While such an idea seems abhorrent to us today, due to the known physical effects attributed to inbreeding, a person has to keep in mind that at that time in man's history, people were physically closer to the state of perfection that Adam and Even had once enjoyed than they are today. That is to say, inbreeding HAD to take place in order for the earth to be populated. But the deformities we know of today that are associated with inbreeding were not common at that time.

The law defining incest was not in force at that time...Adam and Eve had many, many children in their long lives. It is not said how long cain went without a wife... in those days siblings married... Cain could well have married one born to one of his sisters and brothers or even a third or fourth generation from such a union... It is not stated... not somethng that needs to cause worry... God worked it out...

Adam and Eve had other children who through the years migrated to other surrounding regions...
One possibility is that Cain, some years after having killed Abel, went off and married a woman who had moved off to the land of Nod...
Cordially,
John
