If there is something you really want, but the second best thing comes along first, should you forego the second best opportunity to get the thing you want most and therefore risk having neither?

i would say take the safe path. what are these "two paths" you are talking about? if an opportunity comes, i would say take it. i have missed opportunities in the past waiting for what i wanted which never came. i missed out on both. i wouldn't want you to have to do that either so learn from my mistake... although if you want you could take a risk and take the all or nothing and learn from your own mistake if it doesn't work out. if you want to talk about these "2 paths" feel free to e-mail me and i will help to the best of my abilities!!! Good luck and God bless.

hope that was helpful!!! :)

Pray about it. If it is something that God wants you to do, he will open the way, or if not, the opportunity may never come.

Pro 3:5-6
(5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
(6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

You should follow the path of Jesus Christ. You might think that the second best is only second best but in reality the second might be the best according to God. You ask for one thing but get another. God will give you what He knows is best for you.

"Look before you leap", and "he who hesitates has lost" both of these are "wise" sayings but neither is always true. The secret is to know when they apply and only experience can teach you that. But remember...."A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can let alone". Goodluck.

Hold out and wait for the thing you wanted first...trust me..you'll hate yourself for settling for the first thing that came along.

You should hold out for the things you want most in life. Why would you want to regret something later?? I wouldnt...
