My daughter was ready for pre-k when she was asking a lot of questions and thirsted for more knowledge. We began to home school her at age 3 and then by the age of 4 she was ready to get out and learn even more from school. If you make school seem fun and cool to your child, and he or she becomes very interested in being a part of that atmosphere then that is a good indication that he/she is ready to take that leap into pre-k.

My daughter was 3 when she started school. I would have liked to have kept her home longer, but she has two older brothers and wanted to do everything they did. It was harder on me than it was on her. I enrolled her three days a week initially, but she love it so much that she ended up going all week.
