Ummm I'm thinking you're meaning Peace Corp...
You need to do what is right for you.... regardless of your parents wishes...
see your parents need to see that parent love is the strangest kind of love on earth in that the whole idea of parent love is to love a child, guide a child, be there for the child and put your life on hold for your child just so that one day the subject of your love will pack their bags, say good bye and leave.... and feel good enough about themselves, their place in the world and their abilities that they can step out on their own in whatever direction is the best direction for them... regardless of the fears of the very parents who loved them so much they grew up able to do just this...

If you are so passionate about the Peace Corps, then you should know how to spell the name of the organization if you have read about it.
Your parents are right, but from your spelling, maybe you should do more research. That's not just a typo.
Then, make your own informed decision.
The best thing would be to talk to other people who have been in the Peace Corps.
***Edit: Out of curiosity I looked up "Peacecore" and the government actually has 'peacecore.gov' linked to the actual 'peacecorps.gov' page because so many people spell it wrong in the search field. They don't actually refer to it with that spelling.

Perhaps you are the only child....
Parents are very concerned about their children. They are paying for your education to be something good in life where you can support yourself, maintain a life of peace and harmony. They understand the hardships and tragedy that you will face. The style of living, the conditions much differently than you are accustomed to today. Continue on in college, lay it aside for now, upon graduation if you are still feeling the same, discuss it with your parents again.

First of all, you should know more about what you are talking about. If you had looked into it, you would know that it is the Peace Corps. Anyhow, after you gather more information, and you decide that is really what you want to do, don't listen to anyone, but your heart and follow.........You don't want to regret it down the road, because you let others decide for you.

Do it! While you still can. You will become a much better person and will realize what a sterile existence you lived before it. My cousin is a volunteer doctor in Rwanda and loving every minute of it. (She was a spoiled brat while being raised in Mexico City). We are so proud of her!
