OK this is coming from a special forces marine who has served in combat many times. I know a thing or to about anxiety.

First control your breathing and do what ever you can to stop thinking about it. Tell yourself over and over this is dumb and there is no reason to fell anxiety about, everything is fine. But don't just tell yourself convince yourself. Your in control, not your anxiety.

Make jokes about it in your mind when a bad thought comes up, stop it before you really start to dwell on it.

Oh girl, I have had anxiety for 9 years now. The best way to ease it is to PRAY, then you can limit caffeine, that helped me alot! Also there are many books to read about anxiety that helped me, go to Amazon.com and you can used and new books for dirt cheap. Sometimes the use of meds is necessary to help with anxiety, although it never really helped me much. Dealing with it is better than the side effects of meds. Also you can search for message boards about anxiety, seeing other people with it and talking with them will help, as I tried a support group that worked. Good luck!

Wellbutrin, Effexor, Zanex, Valium, Prozac, if that doesn't work try breathing deeply through your nose and picture yourself swimming under a waterfall.

Slow deep breaths, keep cooler temps, knick-knacks to keep your mind occupied like the squeezy things for your hands, and medication if it comes to it.
