I went to my brother's graduation dinner the other night (He just got his undergraduate degree) and when he was making a speech I kind of...well farted. I had eaten a lot at the reception earlier and couldn't help myself. Anyways people kept looking at me rudely because my gas was loud and it ruined my brother's speech. I tried to apologize but I had an onion roll in my mouth and its rude to talk with your mouth full. So when the dinner ended, my brother wouldn't speak to me. What can I do to get our relationship back in order?

Well if your brother can't grasp the fact that letting gas is human nature, he needs to learn to get over it. I would slowly try to make it up with him. First apologize without an onion roll in your mouth, ofcourse.

Sounds to me Bertha that you let go a Big Bertha...... just think of it this way.... you will always have something to laugh about later on with the family......... yes do you remember at the graduation dinner when Bertha.... ripped the big one? Ha Ha

Apologize to your brother and let him know how sorry you feel and that you couldn't help it... It was just a natural reaction to all you ate.
