It was a meandering path. I majored in Religion in a Methodist college, spent one year in Methodist seminary. I then divorced the Methodists, refused to return the Baptists' calls, fled abuse from the Catholics, engaged in heavy petting with the Episcopalians & Unitarians, but fell in love with the Buddhists because with them, "no-God" is also a spiritual path.

Everyone has their own path. The proof is in the pudding.

My girl friend is from Thailand and has been involved in the belief most or all of her life. She has been in the USA for a little over 20 years and just go to church with a friend from time to time. It is hard to find Buddhist here. But I'm sure it still would not be the same as what she had there.

And I'm atheist and we get along great.

I am not a Buddhist, but I have studied Buddhism in both a formal and an academic setting. It is the belief system that I am most drawn to, but I struggle to let go of some of my former beliefs in order to realize the teachings of the Buddha. Much of what I know comes from my own studies and reading.

I'm not, but, I've seen posts from people here that are Buddhist.

What kind of Buddhist are you? Tibetan? Zen? Another?

I am a Buddhist. Ummm, maybe you need to read up on a few texts about patience and that Christianity is a valid path if it gets you where you need to go.
