It may not be a mortal sin, but we are told in the bible not to harm the temple of God, which is our bodies, if we are Christians.

No it is not a sin no matter what you may have read in any book. Your body is still growing if you are male until approximately 21. It is better to get pierced when you are done growing so you don't have distortion, the same applies to tattoos.....more power to ya' Peace to you.

No, it's not a mortal sin. It may look like and be an utterly idiotic thing to do, but it's not a mortal sin.

I don't think it's a mortal sin. I think God would prefer that we didn't mutilate the body he gave us, but there are much worse sins that we should be more concerned about.

Leviticus warns against marks on the body, but it's a reference to marks of devotion to other gods, not simply body art/piercings.
Most Christians don't care what Leviticus says anyway...it's filled with all kinds of rediculous nonsense I'm sure you've violated hundreds or thousands of times.

One man's sin is another man's hobby.
Your choice
1. Enjoy your life and embrace pleasure
or
2. Go to weekly brain-washing sessions, drink blood, eat flesh
and give up all you money and identity. Bow down before the one you serve, you're gonna get what you deserve

Body piercing is not a mortal sin.
I would recommed against such piercing though...
Cordially,

I find it odd. For vanity sake people are willing to mutilate their body. What is the limit that people will go for pride and vanity?
I like being myself without the falsity. I simply do not find anything attractive about being phony. That's my opinion.

why should it be? there's nothing bad about putting metal stuff into your skin. of course, if it was a serious health risk, then it could be wrong. but where in the bible does it say this? 'and then the lord said, "do not wear tacky jewelry."' :-)
