Well, i have both cats and a dog....they are both equally wonderfull. dogs are loyal, funny, and cute. Cats are beautifull, gracefull, and playfull.

When it comes to my pets, I have to go with cats. I have two cats and a dog but my dog is very awkward and she always pees when she gets nervous or excited, which is often. My cat Lucky is big and cuddly and I just like him better. My friend has a really sweet weenie dog who likes to sleep under the covers nestled into your side, and I wish I had a dog like her. It just depends. Dogs are probably more loveable, but cats aren't nearly as high maintenance as dogs and the good ones are also loveable. It just depends!

That really depends on what kind of pet you want.
If you want one that will be able to pretty much take care of itself, and all you have to do is clean a litter box once a day and feed it once a day, and won't necessarily greet you at the door, but won't go berserk if you leave it for an overnight soiree....
get a cat.
If you want one that you will pretty much have to stay home with as much as possible, or take with you every where you go, and give it snacks all day long, take it outside every couple of hours, and be greeted whenever you come in the house as though you are the most wonderful person in the world... get a dog.

I love both my 3 cats and my 1 dog.My cat is more of a guard dog then my dog is!My dog is the biggest baby ever! I have no favorites because I love them all.

Cats! (I love dogs too) but cats do not require the constant attention that dogs do. They don't bark, or poop in your yard and do not (usually) require baths.
You can also leave them for a couple of days on their own if you have to go out of town.

I would say dogs because they can be really pertective and they help u if there is an emergansey! I love dogs more then cats tho! don't really kno y! I think it is because they can do more tricks then a cat!

well i have both a black cat and a black dog. the cat is easy to look after, you can go away and leave her/him at home for all day with out having to let her/him out to use the bathroom providing her/him is litter trained, they are easy to litter train. they eat very little.they are very playful. they don't shed fur. and it don't cost very much to get them spayed or nuttered. THE DOG on the other hand is a bigger responsibility!it costs a fortune to get them spayed or nuttered, you have to let her/him out to use the washroom 14 or 15 times a day, then you have to clean up there mess, they shed big time, they bark,they eat like a horse,they chew up every thing you own, like cell phones,books,shoes,hairdryers,pillows,tv remotes,etc. etc. etc. but i love my cat and dog, and i think the best animal to have is a cat, seriously they are easier to look after. my 2 cents ;)

Dog for sure. Because they can protect you and care for you more then a cat.

Dog of course.
Example. When you let a dog out of your front door, he'll turn around and want to play. You let a cat out and its gone.
