The choc pudding has overpowered your sweetness receptors, lemonade is a sweet/sour combination, but the overpowered receptors don't catch the sweet, so what you get is sour.

After the chocolate pudding, your taste receptors have gotten used to the sweetness, so you need something more sugary to taste sweetness, and the lemonade isn't good enough! Same with eating a donut and then drinking coffee, the coffee's just not sweet enough anymore and you gotta add lots more sugar than usual. Moral of the story, don't blast your tastebuds with something strong, then try to eat something less tasteful.

I've never had chocolate pudding before drinking lemonade so i wouldn't know, but it might have something to do with the fact that your taste buds get used to the sugar so it might make the lemonade taste extra sour. plus, lemons and chocolate don't sound too appetizing!

Coca beans contain a cell transfer in the DNA which when combined with the acidic molecular structure of the acid from the lemons actually fools your taste buds into negating the sense of sweetness from the sugar and the chocolate flavor leaving a blah or nasty, as you put it, feeling in your mouth. A taste that your brain just can't identify. There are several combinations of common food items that create this reaction. Most any food you eat AFTER brushing your teeth or using mouth wash creates a similar reaction as well. Your brain is just going " what IS this stuff?" yuck. Your conscious mind knows what has just basically happened but your subconscious mind says "sorry but this ain't going down my esophagus!".

i think the reason why citrus fuits and the milk (in the pudding) don't taste good together is that a chemical reaction takes place when they meet. I don't know what substance they form(i'm not exacly a chem wiz), but i do know it tastes horrible.

I guess because chocolate pudding has milk and lemonaide has lemons.... milk and lemons don't go together and I guess they would not taste so good one after the other. Lemon and milk can also cause stomach aches if taken so close together.
