You have never used linux have you. Linux is considerably faster even on older hardware than windows.
And compatible with everything Media center has a limited number of drivers that are specific for it. Also I can install the same linux disc on a 200mhz computer and run fine and on a brand new top of the line computer.
Please learn something about what you are saying before you say something so entirely wrong.

Linux is more stable and runs faster than Windows, because is an open source OS, that's why mac use it on Os X. and still not so user friendly.

Linux by far. It is everything Windows is not: secure, fast, reliable and OF COURSE not prone to getting hijacked

Well its all a matter of opinion they both have their weaknesses, if I had to vote, Windows, its more familiar to me.
