I'd say I believed for $1,000,000,000.00 ... I'd do it for a lot less. But true belief isn't a switch you can turn on or off ... you either do, or you don't.

That's a weird question but, yeah I could say I believe and disbelieve for the money, but that would not change my belief system in my thoughts or actions etc. That was an easy question and I'd have 1,000,000,000 dollars in my pocket. You would not have to change anything. Though you would lie to get it. As a christian no, I would not. As a human it would be an easy question.

Of course I would. I'm agnostic, but I have prayed many times for that amount. If I got it, then of course I would believe in God. It's never going to happen though, or at least it seems that way. If I win the lottery or someone hands over that amount the yes I would believe. In this new world of ours, it takes money to change the world I have the idea, just not a financial backer. Christians want the Armageddon; and I have just the right plan to make it happen, I just don't have the money.

It would be an answer to a prayer if we would ask God to grant us this large amount of money. When you truely believe in God, it doesn't matter the amount of money. It would be a wonderful thing to get this large amount of money, but unless you truely believe in Him, the money would be nothing. You have to fully believe in God and then your gifts would be endless. You can not make people believers, if they don't have the Holy Spirit in their hearts. just by giving them this money., Many times people with large amounts of money, do not believe anyway. It would possilby be that once you gave the money, and if there was no belief in God, I doubt if you could change the person without lots of Spirital help .

I believed in God at the age of 5 years old and that I can remember in relating to the Man called Jesus as one whom died for me. During that period of my life I maybe had grasped a penny or a dime at the most ,so nothing could by or sell my Faith. And so this Faith has been for me 60 years and all that I know now that this world has to offer with all of it`s money, fame and pleasure has not bought me out of His Abounding Grace.

Great question, that is the true dividing line. those who do not believe will take the money. Those that believe but their soul is routed in this world will also take the money.
Many who go to church every Sunday will take the money. There is a multitude of true believers who would never take the money.

What doth it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his sole.

In short " You can't take it with you."

For a billion dollars, huh...?

Well, it's not like me getting money suddenly proves or disproves God's existence. It wouldn't make me suddenly not believe in God. I'd be real tempted to say that I 'changed' to get the money though, I won't lie, lol. Not exactly Christian behavior, I know, but damn...

But, I don't think that would ever happen to me, lol, so I don't need to worry that much. ^_^

I would still believe in God without the money. Anyway, it wouldn't count as you believeingn in God just for money. It's not real faith, it's belief in the money! Unless, of course, if you really believe in God later on and NOT because of the money.

You could offer me all the money in the world and I would turn you down. Why? Because I know God exists. I dont need material things, God provides for me very nicely.

I could pretend to be a believer for that much money, but wouldn't feel right to take the money if it involved having to also support and promote a belief I view to be false.
