I'm not dappersmom, but I did read the previous posts. If you didn't include the additional information the first time around, then dappersmom gave a very thoughtful, helpful answer based on the information she had. You can't blame her for not knowing all the details if you didn't provide them in the first place.
I completely understand why you want to get married. This was a situation two of my close friends were in. My advice would be to have a small, private ceremony with only immediate family and super close friends. These can be planned very quick if your guest list is small enough, especially if you have it at a house or your restaurant. Under 20 people is best. You'd be able to celebrate your marriage with the man you love without giving it a rushed feeling.
You could do a courthouse wedding now and then have a bigger party later, when he comes back. But I assume that you are hesitant to do this, or you probably would have done it already.
Good luck to you!

Um... I'm not Dappersmom... but my daughter was in the same situation where both she and her fiance's deployment schedule was coming up and Heaven forbid anything happened to either one of them. So reasons for speeding things up should be obvious, especially to servicemen and women. I hope things work for you both. Actually I hope he's not deployed, but if it does happen, he'll be lucky to have you waiting for his return. I hope I guessed the situation correctly, but that's what it sounded like.
Take care - Airforce Mom

I'm sorry you got such rude answers. Dappersmom is an ignorant, judgemental, jerk. I tried to leave you as helpful a response as I could. Good luck and blessed be!

It sounds to me like you have been together for a long time.
So what if some close-minded idiot doesn't agree with it...
LONG LIVE LOVE!
I truly hope for you and wish you the best!
