I have been sort of weak in Math and Physics, but strong in Biology and Geology type of subjects. I am trying to be an X-ray tech, but I am wondering if this career(actually major at schools) requires to be strong in Math and Physics types of science courses. I'd appreciate your opinions:) Thanks!

i am in my last year of x ray school i graduate in may 2006. You don't need to be strong in either math or science god knows i am not math def is hard for me. Going through school there are formulas you have to know but you can wing your way through them same with physics i am not a handy person at all the physics part was actually where i got my first A in the program to be able to be a tech those things really do not come into play 9physics and math i mean) much but you need to be able to get through it to become a tech but once you are you have no need for it.The physics isn't as hard as it seems it is mostly how an x ray is made starting with an electron then goes into computers and how motors and generators work. The program is very hard but if you are determined anyone can do it.Believe me it scared the daylights out of me my first semester but now i understand it all the pieces finally fell into place.Go with your dreams it is well worth it I almost gave it up I am glad i didn't.

No, it's just point and click for techs. The programmers took all that tedious math out of your life.

Disclaimer: hope I never need radiation treatment on your shift.
