Not to be a *****, but doesn't it seem to you like He's just given up on us all? People who don't care for people rule them, control business and even claim to speak for Him, often commiting acts He says that he would condemn (ie, fundamentalist Paul Hill murdered both an abortion doctor and his driver , showing no remorse for his actions or the grief he caused, saying that he would gladly kill again for the sake of unborn babies). There is widespread suffering and disease, pandemics are on the doorstep, the environment is in the shitter, children go hungry, are kidnapped and forced into becoming prostitutes, slaves or child soldiers, and yet all the while the majority of the people of the West do nothing and care little, too absorbed in their own lives to give two shits about Lebanese civilians killed by Israeli air strikes.
What gives? If God is a loving god, why does he allow suffering? I also want to mention that to say its all according to his will/plan, is shameful complacency.

People say "God says this and God says that".. you don't have the foggiest what God said. You weren't there. It's second hand writings even.. before marijuana was made illegal.

The entire theory about God and His existence revolves around the thoughts of fear and/or good and bad. If you didn't have some evil crap going on., there would be no need for this supposed God. People would have nobody to thank for their daily bread and their wonderful job and their wonderful family. Nor would they have anybody to pray to asking that their favorite football team win this year.

Oh but God is good. And children are innocent. Yeah.. I'm with you on this one.. If there was a God, there wouldn't be children in prostitution rings. Everybody is born a sinner. They need to be baptized. So if a child isn't baptized.. it goes to hell. It's not logical. It doesn't pan out.

People will give bs about letting people suffer is a reminder. Yeah.. okay. sure. No child deserves to suffer like a good majority do.

Also a true God, in my opinion wouldn't be in hiding. God isn't even His/Its name. Nobody knows his name. He said "I am that I am" and nobody really knows. So his name is even made up.

Makes ya wonder if there IS a God.. and if the Bible IS true, maybe all the prophecies have actually already came true., Maybe this IS hell. Personally, I think we're living in it.

I don't say God/It doesn't exist, nor do I say He/It does exist. But I am entitled to my opinion - and it's never spoken to me.. so until a conversation takes place, I'm stickin to my beliefs.

I think 90% of the faith followers are more hypocritical and evil than I am. If there is a God of some sort, I think I'll be just fine on any return trips ;)

The Bible says God will pluck the good from this Earth and leave the rest here to burn in hell so-to-speak. Ironic.. that all the Iraqis and a just a small amount of Americans are going away eh? Makes you wonder who the real terrorists are. Oh .. but don't worry.. somebody will have explaination for that as well ;)

Well Notice one thing that the rulers of the country reflects upon what type of people live in that country. Because God says "You will be ruled by those you deserve." and also the diseases and the pandemics they are all because of our mistakes if you really think about it. For Example AIDS- God told us not to have illegal sexual intercourse with anyone but when we started to now look! Aids/HIV. Also notice that AIDS/HIV affects people that have actually had some sort of an illegal sexual relationship which caused them to inflict themselves with the disease otherwise people like normal husband and Wife they do not get afflicted with this since it is Legal.
Everyone says God Knows Everything and anything and also can Do Everything and Anyting. Therefore then we as God's servants must obey his orders instead of question it, becaus since you say he knows everything then there is something hidden which is good that we not know of. Also remember God Loves his Creation more than the Mother Loves the child! Just Look, even athiests are given sustenance and shelter even though they dont believe in God. The reason why they/and everyone else are given sustenance is because they are all God's creation ad He loves them.

It all began in the garden of Eden, when man exchanged the truth for a lie. Too, Israel chose a human king instead of being ruled by God. They suffered the consequences. ( 1Sam 8:7-14) According to 2Chron 12:8, Israel would be subject to an Egyptian King so that they will know the difference between serving earthly rulers, and serving God.

Man--not God--is the cause of most of our sufferings. Your question appear to suggest that we should not bear the consequences of our actions. And, that it is always convenient to blame our Creator. Is this fair?

Anyways, He has set a time to wipe out all the wicked ones so that only the righteous ones will live on this earth. ( Prov 2:21,22) He has done so in the past; and He will do it again pretty soon.

You ask the multi-million quesiton that everyone at one time or another has asked. But guess what, God does care. There are more good people than there are bad people. Miracles happen everyday not just in the USA but overseas. It seems like evil parades its evil head, but there is a whole lot more of good things going on than bad things. Think about what Mother Teresa did in Calcutta, India. I have a friend who saved thousands of children from dying of starvation. There are Mercy homes around the world. There are free mission and Salvation army that reaches out to the homeless people. Every year thousands of teens from the USA go overseas to build hospitals, houses, wells , school building and so forth from Christian churches. The Gideons Bible Society has placed over millions of Bibles in hotels and many of lives have been saved from suicide just from that. I could tell you more but the point is that God cares and he has his people spread throughout the whole earth doing some incredible things. You have to look at the positive things in life.

It's a popular question: If God loves us, why is there suffering?

The simplest answer is "Free Will." In order for us to do good, the capacity for evil must also exist. Suffering and disease, environmental problems, war, crime -- these are the results of people abusing their free will. But they must be allowed to do so, in order for there to be a real choice. Without choice, righteousness cannot exist.

Well, it's easy to blame God, since God makes a great big target but the fact is, that we are the authors of our own experiences, via God's gift of free will and hence, the universal law of attraction.

The universal law of attraction maintains that the vibrations we emit into the world via our conscious or unconscious beliefs, thoughts, emotions, words (written and verbal) and actions, and whether they are positive or negative, love-based or fear-based, lead to the events that we experience in return, in one form or another.

These vibrations occur singly, by individuals and collectively, by societies and cultures.

It is humanity's collective vibrations of fear and hatred that lead to disasters, natural or unnatural, including war and terrorism, disease, pestilence, starvation etc. etc.

God gives free will and does not revoke or interfere with it, so it is a gift with a double-edged sword, so to speak. Once given, it is our responsibility. Not God's.

God does care but everyone seems to think that he doesn't because he gave us a free will. He lets us do as we wish because he gave us that right when he created us. Whatever we decide to is our decisions and we pay the consequences for it. Just because God doesn't stop us from doing everything that is wrong or out of his character doesn't mean that he doesn't care. If your mother told you not to smoke cigarettes and she caught you and let you smoke and learn from your mistakes would you think that she wouldn't care or that she was trying to teach you a lesson?

Its not that God does not care, He does. It is the people in this world who no longer care. They have removed God from all points in their lives and feel that if they dont acknowledge God then God wont know what they are doing. This world is full of people with what I call the "ME" attitude, they only care for themselves and for what they can get, no matter who they have to step on to get it.

God has not given up on us. He never will. Every time I need him he is right there and he lets me know it. If I am out of line he lets me know. He is awesome. God wanted us to be able to make choices and are bad choices make us suffer. Also if you are suffering you might be doing something right because that just means evil is trying to get you down. Jesus loves you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
