I can't say I've had that same exact experience, but once my neibor envited me over for dinner... Now, I had never been over to her house so I didn't know what to expect. I go over there and she's got cat's all over the damn place. I can handle cats, but in small quanities. Although the food was smellin' good in the kitchen... the smell in the rest of the house was BAD. I'm not a rude person, so I didn't say anything. Luckily, she didn't have a dvd player. So, I suggested we take the food over to my place and watch a movie.
I haven't been over to house since. I'm trying to find a nice way to tell her that I can't stand her house.

Yes the first time i met my then boyfriends parents , it was a few days after xmas and it was some sort of turky thing, looked like vomit on the plate, smelt worse, adn i just had to honeslty say i didnt like it and couldnt eat it, he was very angry with me. another time at a friends she made me a cup of tea without washing the cup properly and it had all these tea rings around it and i could see grease floating on the top! i waited till she wasnt looking then accidentaly on purpose knocked it over.

I was in Germany and my host served me fish on a bun. When they asked me if I liked fish, I answered honestly that I did not. They asked my what I did like and I told them that I liked ham among other things. They brought me a ham sandwich. The problem was that the ham was raw. That is how they eat it in Germany sometimes. I couldn't tell them again that I didn't like their food, so I choked it down. I really almost threw up. Next time, I will eat the fish!

oh gosh yes!!! The food was so gross and I had a hard time just smelling it! I moved the food all around and managed a few bites simply stating that I was not feeling well.

I was so glad there was no one in that breakroom at work when I tasted a deviled egg that one of the other workers brought in...I gagged and then had to spit it in the trash. It was disgusting.

yes. i was 11 years old, the soggy broccoli didn't help matters, but the kicker was the cow tongue that they told me was fish. It only took one bite to know the dirty dogs were lying.
