What sort of question is that? Do you refuse to go to movies or read books because they have beginning, middles and ends? Of course not. Having an ending doesn't make something pointless. As long as, while it lasts, it's worthwhile then that's all that matters. If a movie, book or life manages to leave a positive impression on those who have come in contact with it then that's all the better.
Life doesn't have to be interminable for me to think it's worth living right.

Well, I would say there are several purposes. I'll sum them up as two:
To live a life pleasing and glorifying to God, and to love others in a real, practical way.
The summation sounds trite, I know, but the reality is a profound way of not only surviving existence -- but truly living life as abundantly as was intended.

To Live. Do the best you can, with the time You have, with
what you have,at the place You are at.This earthly life is
but a short space of eternity. Life will continue either in
good reward of terrible judgment.Choose wisely.

The idea is that we never die. Only cease to exist on the material level. Therefore, what type of reality do you wish
to experience? Do you wish to be part of the creative aspect of the universe? Or the destructive? Eventually
resulting in ones own destruction.

To figure life out in terms of struggles, pain, ups, downs, triumphs, successes. I think that as time progresses we're able to look back at things and say ahh, now I get it.
