You might have to scrape with a knive of razor blade some areas if it's really ground into the glass. It won't crack your top.

The best is a flat razor blade scrapper (came with the stove but can be found in any hardware store) to remove the gunk--then stores like Lowe's or home depot have the cleaner for ceramic cook tops--but the scraper is best for day to day
