Your question embodies what I have believed for a long time. Through peoples misinterpetations of various books of faith, they have failed to realize that the journey is more important than the destination. That being said, true hell is nothing more than allowing your life to be a constant punishment, and failing to live it to the fullest extent possible. Likewise, Heaven is actually making the most of the existence that you have been blessed with and experiencing all of the greatness that this world has to offer.

I am a Christian Jehovah's Witness and I can honestly say that the promise of an afterlife is not the main reason I serve God and my fellow humans. In fact, it is not even that important to me what happens to me after death. I love Jehovah God and everything that he did to prepare the earth for man, to make my body able to enjoy the things he put here (eyes for color, ears for music, nose for fragrances, etc). I love all my fellow humans and would like all of them to experience the joy I have in having a clean conscience, having true friends who would die rather than betray me, etc. I know that hell is the grave and not a place of eternal torment and I appreciate being able to free others of that superstitious nonsense fabricated by those who wish to control others. Life now is fabulous and I have a hope (though not a guarantee) that I will be able to live forever. I feel great sorrow for anyone who does not know the peace and joy that I have.

I believe so. If you believe we were put here for a reason, why would anyone think it was just so we could constantly pray for being human and having desires. I believe that once a person understands themselves, and finds their own faith, makes it a part of themselves, there is no need to constantly worry about your soul. If you believe it it there, then it is. Live life, enjoy it, and let others do the same. Some people seem to enjoy the constant prayers and fears of the next life. If so, let them go their own way, while we go ours.

I believe life is a test, not a punishment. Besides, trying to be my best self is helpful in not contracting unnecessary illnesses, STD's, and other such wonderful things that come from a life of 'living for the moment'.
I still have a great life, at least that's what I think! Men are that they might have joy! 2 Nephi 2:25

In once experience I trust you. God created a desirable universe and it truly is gloomy to work out what "we" have carried out to it. it truly is gloomy because all of us recognize how a lot God loves his creation as a father loves a son. to understand for a shown actuality that he will burn all of it as a lot as fulfill his prophecy that he will deliver a "finished end" is gloomy certainly. In yet another experience God promised to make a clean Earth and a clean universe without sin, discomfort or tear from sadness. Wow how can anybody sense undesirable about that? No way (except you fail to be there) "Judgment day starts on would 21 2011" is an end time learn that you're able to do your self with the help of reviewing the committed public area hyperlinks i found decrease than. I apologize if, in any respect, I indignant you with my reaction. I pray God richly blesses you each of the days of your existence.
