That maybe GOD is real but that evolution is too. Maybe GOD put what we call BACTERIUM, and just let things unravel and maybe science and religion can actually coexist?

I've noticed that for a long time now and I do think that science and religion can coexist. I'm actually a Christian and even though some things in my religion don't agree with science, I believe that God has created science. This question actually pertains to a quote that I believe in and happens to be one of my favorites.

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."
-Albert Einstein

I believe that science and religion can cooperate together. Maybe one day they can both be accepted.

That's what I wonder. I'm an agnostic so I'm unsure about the existence of God, but if there is a God then maybe this is how he created things. My Mum is a Christan and believes in evolution.

It seems like you've read "Angels and Demons". If not, I highly recommend it, as the idea of science and religion coexisting is the main topic of the novel.

I tend to belive that science and religion can coexist since the bible is symbolic and not literal.

i've heard other people talking about this same basic idea...that God set evolution in motion...it's certainly something to think about and makes for some interesting discussions...in that case, would evolution be an explanation of 'how', and religion an explanation of 'why?'

yea, i've heard that b4, and i geuss it cud b possible, but then i don't think we wud have the creation story (which we do). and wat about the fossil explosion (i think its called sumthin like that-when suddenly there was a whole bunch of fossils of new organisms-which can b explained by the flood in the Bible). but i think they can still coexist-God created science, which is why it works like it does, sum of the stuff we don't even know why it works (gotta b inteligent design, if u ask me)

Science is neutral on whether a god exists or not, so yes, the two can co-exist.

I'm sorry, but I think it reads that God created "man" not amoeba. Sorry I take it literally.
