I bought my boyfriend an x-box for his birthday...after only dating one week, we broke up 2 days later. I kept it. so if it's something you can keep by all means, spend away! but if he's going to be the only one to use it... save it for Christmas.

Definitely. He's only been your boyfriend for a week....I'd say you start with something small, like maybe a gift card to somewhere, or maybe a small size bottle of cologne..or idk, i really don't know. It depends on how long you've known this guy. But, based on the age of the relationship, I don't think that would be such a good idea because it is possible that he could take advantage of that. I'm not saying that it'll happen, I'm saying that you should keep an open mind about it. Just get him something small and casual..like a gift card to Best Buy or a CD or something like that...^_^

Not necessarily. Whether the gift is "too much" or too little would depend on what that gift is, how much it is needed/desired by your mate and what you can afford :). If your $70+ gift is something you think he needs or is sure to appreciate and you can comfortably afford it, then go for it :D. If you find it a bit steep however, just know that if he truly loves you, he'll be sure to happily accept anything you get him :D. Just make it something special and from the heart :).

Good luck! :D

Not really... The price of a gift should never be questioned. It's the giver's choice. The important thing is if giving him a gift worth 70+ dollars will make you happy then go for it but if it won't then think again. Price doesn't matter for someone special and do not forget, IF IT IS WITHIN YOUR BUDGET.

money and time should never be a consideration when buying a gift. You get him what you want and if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But to wonder about cost unless it's extremely extravagant is to question the relationship before it's even begun. Never a good thing.

You mean he is your boyfriend for less than a week? Then yes, that's way too much. It's probably too much even for a longer term relationship.
