Does it make him any less than he was by being human like his peers, and having a wife and kids? What difference does it honestly make if he was married? With this, why are Christians so ready to deny the Dead Sea Scrolls, and so willing to deny the editing of the Bible that Constantine and King James committed. It's common knowledge that they rewrote them to suit their royal needs to keep the common folk in check. So, why are these Neo-Christians so fired up about denying all of this? And I'm being very serious in asking these questions, because it's for some of these reasons that I am no longer Christian and I honestly have no respect for Christians. I just want some honest, legitimate answers, please.

As for those of you name-calling, you're very excellent representatives of your faith.

Actually, that leads me to further clarify why I dislike Christians. Because most of those whom I've been in contact with are either hypocrites or just downright liars out for self-advancement, including lying and cheating ex-boyfriends who were Christians and family friends [also churchgoers] who lied and cheated on their spouses.

It's as Gandhi said, "I like your Christ, but I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." I faithfully stand by those words in regards to Christians. I mean, I had to get my "judgemental" accusations somewhere.

And by the way, my opinion is NOT based on the Da Vinci Code, for those of you who believe so. I in fact have read numerous, intelligently-written and researched theses on the topic.

Christians are notorious for keeping women in their place, and no way would they allow that any woman could have been married to Christ. Women wash his feet, remember?
From Genesis on, women are the villains, Eve ate, tempted poor Adam, Jezebel and Ahab were accused of murder, Jezebel got eaten by dogs, conveniently as the Jewish Priests predicted. Sampson got his hair cut by the evil Delilah.

Doesn't anyone who reads the bible see that any woman of spirit and intelligence was evil , and the rest kissed a$$.
Men wrote the bible with the exact aim of keeping the underlings subdued and the women subordinate to them.

Hey, nowhere in the Bible does it say that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute , it says she was a woman of ill repute, which could have meant any number of things, she might have liked her, wine, joked too much or been too good looking and the other women
gossiped about her. But it does not say she was a prostitute. Modern religion labeled her so..Men Again!

I have been born and raised catholic my entire life. I went to catholic school and had to pray the rosary every wednesday at my house ! As a grown man, I still love and believe in my religion
However, I never let it go to my head in influencing the way that I think. I try to educate myself about other religions and also scientific fact! I read about Hinduism, Islam, and read alot of science! This is why I get into conflicts with other christians when they ask my opinon on something! I do know for a fact that books of the bible were left out of the king james version! That is not the entire bible! Just look at the jewish bible. Books like Barnibus and Ester are not there! Even if Jesus was married, who cares! Marriage is a sacred thing in the eyes of God. Evolution is a fact and the Dead Sea Scrolls are real! Without education there will always be ignorance! Religion is a touchy subject that should be avoided to keep arguments from getting started!

First because there is no proff, Christains would be glad to accept it if there was proff, it would not change a thing.

But for one Dead Sea Scroll don't mention it at any point, and the bible was not changed that much by constanite and by King James, Constantine only had the various seperate writings bought together, and King James only allowed it to be used in English,

The proof of no change is the fact that in the Orthodox Church, the church of the East that was never under any control of the West, also Constantine was only in rome, and at that time, there was still a bishop over the church, he was not over the church, most of the people who claim that and write about it are merley anti catholics who do anything to discredit the work of the Catholic Church. But the scribes who re-wrote each bible by hand would have died before they would have changed a single word.

But the Bibile we have in the Orthodox Church and that of the Catholic Church, are exact, thus proving your claim false.
The wording in King James is mostly a problem today because we don't understand either the old english, or the history and way of life to understand bible meanings.

So no you have been reading some sites that have no real facts only hate for the bible and wish to discredit it.
Jesus may have well been married, but there is no proof at all about it.

O.K. first of all I was under the impression all the Dead Sea Scrolls were of the Old Testament I may be wrong, but that's what I heard.
Secondly most Christian pastors know Greek and Hebrew so they can read the original non-translated Bible. I would of guessed they would have said something by now if there was a huge error in translation, like Jesus being married. As a Christian I believe Jesus was Israel's, as God he saved all people and loves them equally.
Also as for your lack of respect to all Christian. As a Christian I do know what you mean. There are many people who proclaim Christianity but don't follow Christ. But remember no one is perfect, just because a true-trusting, friend of Jesus tries to be perfect like him, doesn't mean they'll always succeed. I know I haven't. I'm sorry if any "Christians" or Christians have hurt you.
God Bless and Better Luck in the Future

It would not make me think less of Him, I believe in what the Bible says, especially the Gospels. The Gospels and the rest of the New Testament simply do not say anything about it. If he was married and had children I think it would have. Also, looking at how He lived his life on Earth in human form, it just does not seem likely that He was married nor is their any reason why he would have been.

Christians as a whole do not deny the Dead Sea scrolls. The confirm much more of the Old Testament than they dispute. There is evidence Jesus was aware of the thinking of the Essenes.

First off let me set you all straight. Christ was married to the Church. He was the bridegroom for the Church. The Bible makes that plain enough. Try reading it. Second. Whether he was married to Mary or not as you imply isn't relevant one way or the other. Jesus was Jesus, God made man. He is the Son of God. I will say this though. He was in his early thirties when he died. He spent much of his time on the road and not in a home. It is unlikely he was married to anyone other than the Church. I also doubt if he had been it would be hidden. He either was or wasn't. He is not diminished in any way regardless. If you want to believe he was married then go ahead. My question to you is this. Since you label us Christians you must not be, so why do you care if he was married or not unless you want to cause trouble?

I love it, because this proves that Jesus does have a wife in the future, but it’s not Mary Magdalene, that all these corrupt versions I mentioned promote. Why? The Bible teaches that every born again believer becomes a member of the body of Christ instantaneously when he receives Jesus, I Corinthians 12:13. But he also becomes a member of the Bride of Christ. Every one saved from Pentecost until we hear, Come up hither, Revelation 4:1, is a member of the coming bride. Now, Revelation 19:7 says, let us give honor unto him, for the marriage of the Lamb, and the Lamb is Christ, has come. So the marriage takes place in heaven. Then He comes back to earth to set up His kingdom for 1,000 years, Revelation 20:4, and He honeymoons here with His bride, the church of Jesus Christ. And the Marriage Supper takes place here on earth, because all the saints who’ve died during the Tribulation hour have to be part of the Supper. :)

Christ Jesus was sent to earth by his Father to do His will, Jesus said; I do nothing of my own initiative, but I do the will of the one who sent me. Jesus was to preach the message of God's Kingdom and to die a ransom sacrifice for all mankind, so that those exercising faith and doing the will of the Father could gain everlasting life. He did not come here to start a family. Even at twelve years of age he was found in the temple in Jerusalem with the religious leaders, and he told his parents, did you not know I would be in the house of my Father. He had a purpose and he would do nothing else, now from a humans stand point, even though the Bible does not let you know when Jesus' step-father Joseph died, at that point Jesus being the oldest son would have taken over responsibilities providing for the family, carpentry work, people in ancient Israel did not marry until a bit older, like their later twenties, maybe thirty. By this time Jesus went to John the Baptizer to be baptized in the Jordan River at which point the holy spirit came upon him opening up the heavens to him, he recalled his former life in heaven with his Father, at this point he started his ministry, again he would not have married. Also Jewish law forbid priests the marrying of prostitutes which Mary Magdaline was and Jesus is a high priest of God, so it wouldn't have happened. Why don't you get to know your Bible.

Well, Jesus wasn't married.
He set a good example, for all of us--devote one's life to God and help others get to heaven.
God doesn't require that we be married. (Remember what St. Paul said, on the subject.) When unmarried (and celibate and chaste, of course) one can better concentrate on Godly things--prayer, works of charity, keeping one's soul clean. In a marriage, things are more complicated. One's attention is divided, between this world and the spiritual, so it can be more difficult to do what God expects of us. That's why priests are not married. It's interesting that, in England, after the Protestant Revolution (spearheaded by King Henry VIII) the (non-Catholic) bishops were allowed to marry, and then the people had to support the bishops' families, as well as their own. A priest who lives simply has little need for support, at least, that's how it used to be.
When a nun devotes her life to God, she wears a wedding band--signifying her marriage to Christ. It's a holy bond, as all marriages ought to be.
Constantine never edited the Holy Bible, that I'm aware of. On the other hand, the homosexual King James of England did pervert the Scriptures.

That was not why God sent his only begotten son,Jesus Christ. Jesus is a spirit, but he came to earth in the form of a human being to preach the gospel or good news and to remove the sins from the world.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries [a] and the delusions of their own minds.

Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible.

2 Peter 2:1
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.

Matthew 24:11
and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

Jeremiah 23:16
This is what the LORD Almighty says:
"Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds,
not from the mouth of the LORD

This is for Dan Brown and other authors who make lies about Jesus Christ to make a quick buck!

Ezekiel 13:9
My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.
