Thats great you are offering your finches more than seed, as the seeds have little nutrtional value but they provide your finch with the quick energy they need.

great fruits and veggies are mones that have a crunch to they, finches, canaries, budgies, and cockatiels love this.

offer hard fruits and veggies as well as soft too.

such as chopped broccoli, and grated carrots, chopped apples, and peaches, and necturines, chopped celery as well.

if you breed your finches, diced hard boiled egg with the shell mashed in is great because it contains calcium and protein that the female needs as she lays eggs and raises young.

Birds will be picky eaters. Give them any fruit and veggies that you think the finch will like. Maybe some kind of carrot, or cantelope. I know my bird does not like fruits and prefers veggies so i feed her cucumbers.

Don't give them lettuce leaves..not regular ice burg lettuce anyways. It's got to much water in it and next to NO nutritional value what so ever and usually just causes diarrhea. You can give them romaine, spinach, kale, turnip greens, endive, dandelion greens... Things like that. All those are good. Also I'd try thawed out frozen mixxed veggies. Run them under hot water in your colander.

They like lettuce leaves. We stick the leaves to the wall of the cage with a clothespin, near a perch.
