My mother is an awesome and extra-ordinary woman that can be compared to no one :). I love her tremendously! Here are my 5 reasons why :D

- She has always believed in me, even when no one else has :).
- Her love is unconditional---she wouldn’t love me any less if I failed to carry out her expectations.
- She is the epitome of ultimate love and self-sacrifice---she’d give anything, even if it meant depriving herself of her own needs.
- She is full of joy and contentment; a great lover of life and happiness.
- She’s an honest woman. She would never lie to me or anyone else. Ask her the truth and she’ll give it without reserve.

My mother is no longer living but I can tell you that I loved her very much because she cared so much about everyone. She cooked all the time and put away things from our large gardens into freezers or canning jars. She did a great deal of sewing for us. She was always a good listener and had the best advice. She was smart and worked as a registered nurse during the 50's and 60's. I was always amazed by how much my mom knew and did.

My mom was a true pioneer, raised 14 of us. She braved the wilderness with her children on her own, months at a time. She was a hard worker, and never gave up what ever tasks were at hand. She loved us all equal, a great mentor, and her strength gave us confidence to believe in ourselves, and to never fear trying to succeed. She believed to stand for what is right, but when it's wrong be strong enough not to be a follower, but stand firm your ground. She has passed away, but she's my rock, my hero and I'm so thankful for our time we had together.

1. She loves me unconditionally. (as I love my OWN kids)
2. She taught me everything worth knowing.
3. She passed her love of books to me.
4. She gave me freedom to make my own (sometimes disastrous) decisions.
5. She is always there for me.
Mom is 70, and I hated her til I had kids. I wish I could have those years back, because all she ever wanted was my happiness, and our time is running out.
