I keep my house clean, but clutter is definitely everywhere. We don't have a garage or shed, so stuff that should go there is indoors. Plus, there is two guys in the house (ages 54 and 19) besides me, so there is no possible way to keep the clutter out! I would love to, tho. When I lived by myself, I had NO clutter and the house was pretty spotless. Oh, the joys of living with someone else and no garage or shed to store anything! Maybe our next home will have one or the other, or both.

CLutter is an ongoing battle for me. With 4 kids they can bring all kinds of things. If this is a problem for you www.flylady.net has helped me tremendously.
Good Luck.

Yes it has! I moved recently and my sister keeps telling me I should have bought a home with 12 bedrooms! Well it isn't that bad but I'm working on getting rid of some of this crap. A lot of it is hard to part with tho cuz it has been with me for so long but I just don't have the room for it anymore.
And I'm having company this Fri for dinner and dancing - right K____? What will I do with all of this stuff?

I am very complusive about keeping a neat house, everything has its place, but after going back to work, and being the single Mom of 3, u may find my house a bit untidy from time to time, but only if its been a lond day, and i fall asleep with my kids, and dont get chance to clean....but it doesnt stay that way long!

It's something I have to fight all the time. Mostly, I'm winning.
One book that gave me real insight into why I struggled was Making Peace With The Things In Your Life.
Here's a booklist I created on Amazon of books on the topic:

A big ol' yeeeeesssss! With 4 kids and their toys, it's almost impossible to not have clutter. I am hoping to conquer it when school starts.

I cannot stand clutter, and that is why it does not exist in my home.

Actually it has. I can't seem to put my laundry away so it's in laundry baskets and piles on the floor. I just went into my bedroom to start putting laundry away. I don't know why that is a task I dread so much.
