Cats can live up to the age of 20 if they are inside and 15-20 years of age for outside. I don't think it matters what type of cat they are.

Tuxido cats are very sweet and very beautiful. It depends on how well provided the cat is. Most cats live about 12 t9 16 years, but they can live as long as 25 years as long as they are well taken care of. Getting regular shots and visits to the vet.

15-16 is about average...but some cats live even longer. I had a cat that lived to be 19 years old (almost 20) and had a friend that had a 21 year old cat.

My cat lived to be 20 years old. She was a regular tabby cat and we did nothing out of the ordinary health wise for her. In fact when I went off to college my mom rarely took her into the vet. I have also known many other cats to live to between 16-21 years. I hope this is helpful.

I have a 16 year old named Hannah. She is doing fine, although she creeks when she walks. Vet said it is just old age and joints... My father ran over her when she was a kitten...she wanted him to pet her, and he didn't see her, so she followed him to the truck and then smoosh, there went the kitty. She was fine, just had a couple broke legs, so we took her to the vet and had her declawed (cause cat + waterbed = disaster) and brought her in the house to punish my father. He was much more careful about leaving the house after that... I also have a 1 year old that torments the old one to DEATH. She jumps on her and pounces and has a ball with her. The old one doesn't seem to mind all that much, but at least I have the baby to keep my spirits up after Hannah is gone. The baby's name is Akasha. :)

We have two cats, good old 'American Shorthair' mixes, that we estimate are at least 22 years old each. We got them a in July of 1984, and they were both full-grown with some tartar on their molars. Had them nuetered immediately, so that may have contributed considerably to old age.
One is now totally deaf and missing all his incisors. The other has no teeth, but still plays (albeit somewhat stiffly) and tries to catch birds through the window. Both are alert and have good appetites. I hope I'm in that good of shape when I get that equivalent in years!

I knew a friend who's cat lived for 17 years, all because she made sure that she feed the cat mostly dry food. Dry food that has vitamins and maintain the softness of their fur.

The oldest house cat on record was 34 years old - which is 174 years old, in cat years.
